Think:

Fear is super common when we see God as some strict judge or boss who’s just waiting for us to mess up. A lot of us grow up thinking God only loves us if we act perfectly, and that’s a heavy weight to carry. But Jesus flips the script. He shows us that God is love, and real love doesn’t come with fear. As 1 John 4:18 says, God’s perfect love kicks fear out of the picture.

Live:

This week, think about how you see Jesus. When He asks, “Who do you say I am?” is your answer shaped by fear or trust? Jesus isn’t here to punish every mistake. He’s here to love you and invite you into a relationship that’s all about grace. Lent is your chance to let go of the fear of trying to earn God’s approval and grab onto the truth: God loves you, no strings attached. Trust that, and live free.

God, I want to know You for who You really are. Help me let go of any wrong ideas I have about You and replace them with the truth of Your love. Amen.
