I'm New! What Do I Do?Sample

Understanding and Applying God’s Word
Living Out What You Learn
Hopefully, as you’ve been applying the practical steps from this devotional, you are finding it easier to be consistent in your relationship with God through praying and talking with Him, reading the Bible, and going to church.
The goal of all of these things is for you to receive God’s Word and understand it to the point that it changes the way you live.
There are many people who can quote scriptures and retell Bible stories. The real test of whether or not you understand Scripture is if you live according to it. You can tell if you’re gaining from reading the Bible and hearing what is preached in church if you start to live by what you learn.
This is called applying the Bible. Always look for the application of what you are learning. This is where your faith comes in. If you simply believe what the Bible says and start to apply it to your life, it will make all the difference.
Get ready! Your world will change for the better. You will see so many good things come out of your life when you apply the truth from God’s Word.
Prayer
“I am good ground where God’s Word is sown. May I understand it and apply it to my life. Amen.”
Scripture
