The Pursuit - 12 WeeksSample

Jesus told a story about a rebellious son who squandered his inheritance and came home in shame. But instead of punishment, the father ran to him, embraced him, and threw a party.
That’s God’s heart toward sinners. He doesn’t stand back with crossed arms, waiting for you to clean yourself up. He runs toward you with open arms the moment you turn toward Him. That’s grace.
The older brother in the story missed it. He thought the father’s love had to be earned. But love was freely given to both sons. God’s love isn’t based on performance—it’s based on His character.
Reflection:
Do you relate more to the rebellious younger son or the resentful older son?
