Don't Lose Your Grip!

If God has placed a dream in your heart, you need to be confident in your ability to follow it to fruition in your life. You are called to fruitfulness, whether natural or spiritual, and you cannot let the enemy get in your way.

Hebrews 10:22–25 says:

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

You need to hold fast, knowing that the One who awakened desires in your heart is faithful.

To keep your grip on your dreams, you need to be aware of the dream stealers and their tactics, as well as how to defeat them. One dream stealer is time. When God has given you a dream or vision, but a long time passes and it has still not come to pass, you can get discouraged. The passage of time gnaws away at your faith, your perseverance, and your passion. God is faithful. He gave you a specific promise in His Word just for times like this:

…being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:6)

God is going to finish what He started in your heart. Remember God. Remember the experience you had when He gave you the promise. Remember that He is faithful. Remember that waiting time is just part of your growth process. Remember His promises. Remember all the times He has come through for you before. Remember, and wait for the appointed time.

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time. (1 Peter 5:6)
