Peace I leave with you; I give my peace to you. I don’t give to you the way the world does. So don’t let your hearts be distressed, and don’t be afraid.

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe in me too.

But the Father will send the Helper or Paraclete, the Holy Spirit, in my name to help you. The Spirit will teach you all things and remind you of everything I’ve said to you.

Anyone who has my commands and obeys them loves me. My Father will love the one who loves me, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another helper who will be with you forever. That helper is the Spirit of truth. The world can’t accept him because it doesn’t see him or know him. But you know him because he lives with you and will be in you.

And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me for anything in my name, I will do it.

“If you love me, obey my commands.

There are many rooms in my Father’s house. If there weren’t, would I have told you that I’m going there to prepare a place for you?

And after I go and prepare a place for you, I’ll come back and take you to be with me. That way you’ll also be where I am.

Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you’re going. So how can we know the way?”
