Take Courage... God Is Powerful!預覽
Are you discouraged?
Many times, I’ve wanted to stop. Discouragement was getting the best of me. I said to myself, “What’s the use of following You, Lord? What’s the point?” Today, I’d like to share with you a passage from the Bible that I love, that really encourages me. It’s Psalm 1:1-3: “Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand [take one’s stand, halt, stop] in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.”
Did you know that in the Word of God, we can find numerous examples of men and women who also had this desire to quit, drop everything?
Elijah, the great prophet of God, is one example. After receiving a message of accusations and threats from the wicked Jezabel, Elijah asked God to take his life. He wanted to die. (see 1 Kings 19:2-8)
The secret is not stopping but pressing on, persevering. The angel of God “forced” Elijah to eat. And with the strength he received through this divine food, he walked once again. And what a walk! 40 days and 40 nights to the mountain of God.
“Break through and you will see!” someone once said...I believe that you’re at the dawn of a breakthrough, a blessing, a gift from God in your life.
Don’t stop! And certainly not in the way that sinners take. Stopping and standing in the path of sinners leads to sadness and will make you miserable. So, even if the road seems narrow, keep walking down that road! Sooner or later, you will find your blessing there.
May I pray for you?...“Lord, I give You my friend. I ask You to lift him/her up, to give new strength, a new hope! May Your joy be his/her strength. Empower my friend to persevere with You, in Your plan, and in Your ways. In Jesus’s name, amen.”
Thanks for existing!
