Reading With the People of God - #6 LOVE預覽
Memorization Challenge: 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Reading Primer: Walking in Justice and Faith
In today’s readings, justice and reliance on God take center stage. In Psalm 17, David earnestly seeks God’s protection and deliverance, trusting God’s justice to defend him from his enemies. This psalm invites us to trust God’s righteous judgment and care.
Deuteronomy 21:1-9 stresses the importance of justice within the community, calling for accountability when injustice occurs. It serves as a reminder that God cares deeply about righteousness and that we are responsible for upholding it in all areas of life.
In 1 Corinthians 16, Paul encourages the church to stand firm in faith, act courageously, and do everything with love. His message challenges us to live with responsibility, rooted in faith and guided by love.
These readings call us to trust God’s justice, seek righteousness, and live with courage and love.
Prayer of Illumination:
Heavenly Father, as we open Your Word, grant us wisdom and understanding. Shine Your light upon these scriptures and teach us how to walk in justice, faith, and love. Let Your Spirit guide us in applying Your truth to our lives. In Jesus' name, Amen.
關於此計劃
This is the sixth part of a reading plan through the Bible, following the lectionary pattern of reading in the Psalms, Old Testament, and New Testament each day. In addition, each day this month will feature a memorization challenge for 1 Corinthians 13 (The Love Chapter), and there will be brief devotionals from different people in our Church scattered throughout the plan.
