But then he said to them, “Go everywhere in the world and preach the good news to the whole creation.

Those who believe will do miraculous signs. They’ll drive out demons in my name, and they’ll speak in new tongues. They’ll pick up snakes with their hands, and if they drink deadly poison, it won’t hurt them at all. When they will place their hands on sick people, the sick will get well.”

Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved, but anyone who doesn’t believe will be condemned.

Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them, confirming his word by the signs that occurred with it.

“Don’t be distressed,” he said. “You’re looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He’s not here! He has risen! Look, this is where his body was.

But as they approached, they could see that the stone, even though it was very large, had already been rolled away. When they went into the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were distressed.
