We are so glad you're here! We’ve created these “Climbs” (or daily devotionals) to give new believers and youth students a place to learn the basics. These climbs were designed as a combined reading and video plan, so take the time to watch the videos and read the text for each day (we promise the videos are short).

David's life emphasizes obedience, worship, and prioritizing God's presence. David facilitated Israel's access to God; Jesus did the same for all nations. The call is to continually seek God, stretching beyond comfort. Jesus tore the veil for unrestricted access. It's a challenge to desire all God has. Explore the 10-day journey into Amos, Saul, David, and Acts, unveiling the significance of a simple tent in Jerusalem.

In this series we consider the pop culture of masked heroes - battling with not only their nemeses but often their own mask and a process of discovering their identity and their purpose. Using the Bible, what can we learn from them?

We can find wisdom for life in the pages of the Bible and one of the most well-known wisdom books, Psalms. Through the life of David, who wrote many of the Psalms, discover that this book is more than just a collection of poems. It shows us how to praise God with a thankful heart, to trust Him in troubled times, and that we have victory in Jesus' name.

2 Samuel depicts the ascension and reign of King David following the death of Saul and Jonathan. David united the kingdom, established Jerusalem as the capital city, and extended the territory of Israel. At the crescendo of the book, God promises David that "your throne shall be established forever" (2 Samuel 7:16). Despite David's wickedness, God ultimately fulfills his promises to David through the person and work of Jesus Christ.

Each day as you engage the Scripture, we recommend following this pattern of devotional reading. 1. Read the Scripture aloud. 2. Seek out where King Jesus is at work in the Scripture. 3. Pray over the Scripture. 4. Discern how this Scripture impacts your life.
