In this 10 day series, you will be encouraged in both your work and your rest, to find meaning and purpose in all parts of your life.

Genesis and Exodus are the first two books of the Bible and are the first two of five books which constitute the Torah. Genesis begins with the creation narrative and teaches that God is the one who made everything that exists. This book also teaches about God’s calling of Abraham and how all the nations of the earth would be blessed through his offspring.

In this 11-day plan, you will study Genesis chapters 1-14. It will introduce this great book of the Bible, focusing on the families and generations that begin human history. Before planning how to correct the problems we face in this world, we must understand who God is, how He made the world, what we have done to destroy it, and His plan for His new earth.

The Bible tells us to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. Brain science tells us of twelve ways we learn strong love that we might not always recognize as love. The Bible reveals that God shows us love and teaches us to love others in the exact ways that make love strong.

“Sin” is a key concept in the Bible. Sin is rebellion against God, be it in words, deeds, or desires. It destroys the relationship between God and humans and also has disastrous consequences for people’s relationship with each other and with their natural environment. This reading plan covers some key Bible verses about sin’s origins, its essence, its consequences, and God’s solution for the problem of human sin.

Today, more people are on the move in the global diaspora than ever before. What is God doing in our world today? To better understand, we will look at the word of God through the lens of people on the move and be introduced to unreached people groups in the diaspora and pray for them.
