Jesus was led into the desert for 40 days and nights, and we get a front-row seat to the temptations He faced as His time in the desert came to an end. Over the next 9 days, let’s journey through the desert, taking time to examine the lessons found only in the desert. May we come out of the desert different from when we went in.

If you were to define ‘the greatest evil,’ you might think of murder, child abuse, or human trafficking. C.S. Lewis mentions something else: pride. He considers this the ultimate rebellion against God, from which all other sins spring. In this reading plan, we want to explore what the Bible says about pride and which consequences pride has for our lives.

The word “Gospel” literally means, “Nearly too good to be true good news.” The Gospel is not just the message we need to know for our salvation. It is the life-saving, life-giving, and life-transforming message of our Almighty, Triune God! To study it, to know it, and to be able to articulate the Word of God is not so much our responsibility as it is our privilege!

Yet our enemy, the devil, is bent on twisting God’s truth in his all-out efforts to "steal, kill, and destroy" (John 10:10). The epistle of Jude exhorts us to contend for truth.
