In the world, we live in today, “rest” seems like a foreign word to many of us. We all have so much to deal with, and without proper rest, the door is open for stress to plant its ugly feet and wreak havoc in our lives. But the good news is, God designed rest and it's only in pursuing his presence that true rest can be found.

What do you do in times of trials and tribulations? Do you become angry at God and ask why or do you praise your way through the storm? When I think about the deep, the ocean immediately comes to mind- vast and beautiful yet with so many unknowns it challenges my ability to be in control, and that is a feeling that many of us don’t like. However, you were never created to play in the shallow. God has a massive plan for your life, and he wants to speak to you today to expand your view, to take the limits off, shatter the fear that has kept you back and trust him in this next phase of your life.

God longs to heal our broken pieces—even the wounds that feel too deep, too painful. Offering up the aching parts of our past can be scary, but God promises to be with us as we face our brokenness.
