The purpose of the advent season is to prepare us to celebrate and experience afresh the birth of our Savior. This study is designed to walk you through the reasons and implications of why Christ came to this world and how that affects us on a daily basis.

In this 4-day plan, I will explain how Jesus tackled the root causes of the Babylonian culture of greed, fear, and corruption and replaced it with a Kingdom culture of caring and sharing for universal prosperity and flourishing in the marketplace. If you apply these principles to your business or job, you and all who deal with you will benefit enormously and together we'll create a better world for all.

At Christmastime, Advent calendars serve as tangible reminders of expectation slowly moving toward fulfillment. Likewise, the Old Testament records how the failures and weaknesses of God’s people created a longing and a need for a perfect King to come. This four-day plan reminds us that Jesus’ birth wasn’t an isolated event but the fulfillment of God’s promise to establish His kingdom forever. In Christ alone we find our long-expected, perfect King.

Advent is a time of spiritually preparing our hearts, celebrating the birth of Jesus, as well as looking forward to His Second Coming! Advent begins on the Sunday closest to December and ends on December 24th. This devotional is taking the four Sundays before Christmas to reflect on this sacred time. In this study, we will also include activities that can be done alone or with the family.
