Free Reading Plans and Devotionals related to Matthew 5:43

Whatever December looks like for you, wherever you are, whoever you are with or not with, our hope is that you will set aside time every day over the next four weeks to open God’s Word. We will have short devotionals each day to help you reflect on the day’s reading. We pray that you will see Jesus in a new light this Christmas.

This plan will guide you in reading the Gospel of Matthew and hear what God is speaking to you personally. We are looking forward to read and hear this together with our church.  

It’s simple; we want you to commit to reading the Bible every day—and see what happens. What can God teach you? How can He change you?

Prayer is essential. Prayer is powerful. Prayer is hard. Most of us feel like we're not doing it often enough or well enough, and we're tempted to give up trying. Instead, let's go back to school and allow the WORD of God to teach us how to TALK to God.

Matthew’s Gospel opens the New Testament by brilliantly introducing the culmination of the entire Old Testament story. After thousands of years and dozens of generations, Jesus had come “to save his people from their sins” (Mathew 1:21). Matthew focuses on Jesus as King of Kings, who had come to reign on the throne of David forever.

For the next four weeks, we’ll explore four passages of Scripture from both the Old and New Testaments that might challenge our view on anger. We’ll learn practical skills like when we feel angry, pause to ask God why. We’ll see how, when we’re angry, Jesus shows us how to respond. And in our anger, we'll be challenged to show grace and not get hurtful.

It’s easy to see brokenness in our lives and the world, leaving us feeling hopeless. But with Jesus, broken things don’t have to stay broken. In this 4-week devotional from Grow Curriculum, we’ll explore how making things right starts with our relationship with God and leads us to bring healing to others and the world around us.
