Rooted In Jesus: Son Of Man
31 Days
Jesus. Fully God. Fully man. Leaving the perfection of heaven, He poured Himself out and came to take on our frame. Jesus, the Son of God, became flesh and blood and moved into our neighborhood as the Son of Man. He walked in our shoes. He experienced our pain. He faced our trials. He knows what this world is like; He knows what your life is like. And yet, He walked in victory and ultimately gave us the victory. All throughout Scripture the term “Son of Man” refers to the humanity of Jesus, reminding us that Jesus is our model for what it means to be fully human. Jesus shows what life looks like when we are submitted and surrendered to God. As you read through the chapters this month look for Jesus, the Son of Man. Look at His humanity because He came to show us what it means to be free, what it means to be a beloved son; He came to show us what it looks like to be fully human and fully alive! And since we are now included in Christ, what is true of Him is now true of us.

This is part 16 of a 19-part plan that goes through the whole Bible. Thanks to Bible Project for the use of their video content.

Take time each day to quiet your heart and spend time with Jesus. Many Christians call this a “quiet time.” It’s a time to read God’s Word, think about what it means, resolve to apply it, tell the Lord how much you love Him, and pray for yourself and others. This plan is designed to give you an overview of the life of Jesus and what His friends accomplished after He departed.
