“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with your whole heart.” (Jeremiah 29:13) This is a promise that God gave His people 2,600 years ago. It was a promise that the effort to pursue God would be rewarded with finding Him. For the next 21 days, we will pray and fast as we seek our Lord. He is our Promise Keeper.

Exiled on the island of Patmos, John wrote the book of Revelation to seven churches in the Roman province of Asia. The book opens with encouragement and warnings for the seven churches and is followed by a series of end-times visions. Revelation’s powerful imagery assures believers of Jesus’ coming return, His triumph over all His enemies, and the establishment of His kingdom that will know no end.

The songs of Christmas stir our hearts and strengthen ties to God. We celebrate the Greatest Story of All as we sing carols. These songs are among the riches of the Kingdom that are the legacies from those who have gone before us. They come from varied times, lands, and cultures. What they have in common is that they are gifts that help us unwrap The Gift of Jesus, God-with-us.

For the next 25 days, join us in the reading plan as we put on the light, one candle at a time. To remind ourselves to take off those things that we do not need and wrap ourselves in what is coming: the Light of the World. It is the season of Advent, a time of wonder and anticipation, a time to ponder the miracle and mystery of Christ’s birth!
