Free Reading Plans and Devotionals related to Romans 8:28

This is the fifth part of a reading plan through the Bible, following the lectionary pattern of reading in the Psalms, Old Testament, and New Testament each day. In addition, each day this month will feature a memorization challenge for the Apostles' Creed, and there will be brief devotionals from different people in our Church scattered throughout the plan.

When Paul wrote this magnificent letter, Rome was the cultural centre of the world, boasting advancements like sturdy roads and a common language. Roman citizens were able to travel and communicate like never before. To this audience, Paul delivered the most comprehensive expression of the gospel ever given in Scripture, including the relationship we have with our Heavenly Father. In 1 & 2 Corinthians, Paul passionately addresses the church's struggles and encourages them toward unity, spiritual maturity, and holiness. This reading plan explores key themes such as love, humility, and living a life set apart for God. As we dive into these letters, may we be inspired to pursue Christlikeness and embrace the call to be holy as He is holy.

Deeper into Scripture is a methodology of scripture reading that instructs, encourages and equips people to read God’s Word daily and deeply. To accomplish this we have created a unique four-fold method of bible reading that directs the individual to read a short passage of scripture four times. Each reading is done with a different question, instruction or objective to be considered. This repetitive reading and instruction takes us deeply into the Word of God and draws us closer to Him.

“Extraordinary Ordinary!” is a challenge to live well and embrace the life you have been given with no regrets. We must each accept responsibility for our own lives with no blame or aspersions cast in the direction of others and their choices. You, in partnership with God, will design the life that will occupy the length of your days. While you may not be able to determine all of the events and circumstances of your life, the atmosphere of your life is entirely up to you.

When we surrender to Jesus He changes us in a moment but we are still being changed everyday to become more like Him. This devotion deals with the everyday, ordinary changes that we all face in becoming more Christ-like. We are changed and changing still.

For all teens, it is often a time of physical and emotional upheavals, discovery, and mistakes.
