Fasting is not a way of forcing God to hear us but an invitation to the manifestation of his power. I invite you in the next 3 days to discover the power of fasting combined with prayer for breakthroughs in situations that require a miracle.
Encouragement, as it’s described in Proverbs 25:11, is “a word fitly spoken.” It can also be expressed nonverbally by putting an arm around a shoulder, or providing a warm hug, or a listening ear. Such gestures serve as a soothing balm for a child’s heart in the midst of pain, or for the purpose of building confidence in confronting the challenges of life. Let’s consider some ways we can encourage and uplift our children.
Solid marriages are built on a firm foundation of trust. The basis for this is in godly living and trusting the Lord's promises for provision and guidance. Knowing that you and your spouse desire for God to be at the center of your marriage builds confidence in entrusting your hearts to each other.
Men and women bring individual differences into their marriages. While distinctive traits can have their appeal, they can also become irritants. With the additional stress and pressure of daily life, husbands and wives can become impatient with one another, and that often leads to friction and conflict. Christian couples have an anchor in the storms of life—His name is Jesus. Let's pray and ask Him to help improve the communication in our relationships this week.
