As we read through the first 12 chapters of Exodus, we hope you see the beginning of the story of Moses through new eyes. Eyes that see the wondrous and powerful God who orchestrated every moment of Moses’ life so he would be the one who would lead the Israelites out of Egypt.

How do I humble myself? Humility, according to the Bible, is not something we can just up and do. Humility first comes from the hand of God. He initiates the humbling of his creatures. And once he has, the question confronts us: Will you receive it? Will you humble yourself in response to his humbling hand, or will you kick against him?

This devotional is designed to help you see God during life’s storms. We often imagine God only being with us when things are comfortable; however, throughout scripture we see God walking through the fire WITH His people. The storms of life do not cause God to distance himself from us, but they can allow for God’s love, power, and wisdom to be visible to us and others.
