; Si 46.4-6 The sun stood still and the moon did not move until the nation had conquered its enemies. This is written in The Book of Jashar. The sun stood still in the middle of the sky and did not go down for a whole day. 14Never before, and never since, has there been a day like it, when the Lord obeyed a human being. The Lord fought on Israel's side!

15-16So, because I was sure that you trusted me, I wanted to visit you twice. Then I could bring God's help to you twice. I decided to visit you first on my way to Macedonia. #1:15-16 Macedonia was north of the country that is called Greece now. Then I would visit you again on my way back from Macedonia. After that, you could help to send me on my journey to Judea. #1:15-16 Judea was the south region of Israel. 17I did not decide this in a careless way. I really wanted to do it. I do not decide to do things only to please myself, like someone who does not know God. I do not say ‘Yes,’ and then I immediately say ‘No’.

13My purpose is not to bring trouble to you. You should not have pain while other people have plenty. Instead, both you and they should have enough. 14At this time, you yourselves have plenty. So you are able to give to those people who do not have enough. One day, things may change. They may have plenty, and you may not have enough. Then they can give money to help you. In that way, you will all have enough when you need it. 15It says this in the Bible:
‘The person who picked up a lot did not have too much.
And the person who picked up a small amount also had enough.’ #8:15 See Exodus 16:18. When the Israelite people were in the wilderness, God gave them manna for their food. They had to go out and pick up the manna each day. Each family had enough for them to eat that day. God always gave them just the right amount.

15Whatever is happening now has happened before.
Everything that will happen in the future has already happened.
God causes the same things to happen again and again. #3:15 God is the one who decides the right time for things to happen on the earth. We need to understand that he rules over all things. It is important to understand that God has a reason for all the things that he does. We will never understand everything that God does but we can enjoy our lives if we respect his authority.

3Again, God's Spirit caused me to see and to hear strange things. The angel carried me away to a wilderness. There I saw a woman who was sitting on a wild animal that was bright red. All over this wild animal, names were written that insulted God. The animal had seven heads and ten horns. 4The woman was wearing clothes that were made from expensive cloth. She also wore bright things that made her look beautiful. She shone with gold, valuable stones and pearls. She held a gold cup in her hand. The cup was full of the bad and disgusting things that she had caused people to do. 5A name was written on the front of her head. Only God knows what it means. It was:
Powerful Babylon.
