Psalms 126
126
psalm CXXVI
Tuin: Abbey
1When Zion’s thirldom God brocht hame,
Like dreamin’ folk were we;
2Syne to oor moo’ the lauchter came,
Oor tongue was liltin’ free.
Amang the heathen folk, quo’ they,
“God wrocht for them fu’ weel”;
3God grandly wrocht for us, and sae
Richt blythesome may we feel.
4Like spates that flude the birsl’t lea,
God us frae thirldom free’d;
5Wha saw in dool sal live to see
A blythesome hairst succeed.
6Wha, murnin’ sair, gangs oot to cast
Gude seed upon the land,
Sal, dootless, blythe win hame at last,
Wi’ cornsheaves in his hand.
