The LCB is a new and contemporary translation for Lao Language speakers that uses the NIV, a translation that is well-known around the world, as its primary source of translation while consulting other English translations and the original languages. The intended audience is the younger generation, both in and outside the church. While providing a clear and simple translation for scholarly study, the text is a credible source for the church's current generation. To provide theological expertise and prevent any theological biases, all of the translators, linguists, and advisors are representatives of a diversity of national and international experts.
