 As children of God, we have been given a new home and a new hope. And when we learn to live for heaven, the cares and weights of this world fall off our shoulders in light of our place in God’s advancing Kingdom. In this 7-day plan, you’ll create space every day to cast your burdens at the feet of Jesus, and rejoice in the hope of the eternal life you’re already living in God. 

Jesus comes every Christmas to remind us of his birth and also to prepare us for his coming again. While his first visit was a surprise, for his second visit we should be prepared and also prepare others for his coming again. That is why Christmas is a great time to share this good news with others.

If you are like many Christians, it’s hard to share your faith. Fear, lack of knowledge, and perhaps uncertainty keep you quiet more than not. As an apologist and evangelist, I’ve spent my entire career sharing the faith and answering people's objections. This week, we’ll learn to do the same. With honest conversations, God’s Word, and a heart for the lost, we will reach in love those who are perishing.

“May God make his face shine on you” is not sentimental cliché. It’s a powerful statement of the intimate relationship God wants people to experience in his presence. The blessing authored by God himself was audacious in the historical context in which it was given and it encapsulates a shocking (and wonderful) future hope of relating to God face-to-face. It calls us to reflect his shine into the world.

In his second letter to the church at Corinth, Paul encourages believers to live in the identity Christ has provided for them.
