Hello and Welcome to a series of reflections called “Doing Theology from below.” These reflections are designed for those who want to explore a way of reading Scripture that is liberating, especially in vulnerable urban communities. Doing Theology from Below is learning how to read the text not “to” not “for” but “with” those we are called to love and serve and to do so with Jesus as our rabbi.

Jesus invites people into the kingdom of God. This is not an actual physical place. It transcends time and space, which makes it difficult to see what God’s Kingdom exactly is. Let’s read a collection of Bible passages to learn what God’s Kingdom is and how you can inherit it.

Life is confusing and overwhelming at times. We wish there was a simple answer to our questions and problems, so why do we resist when people say, “What you need is Jesus”? Truth? “Jesus” isn’t just a church answer to church questions. As members of the early church discovered, Jesus is the answer you’re looking for. He really is what you need. Period.

This plan is a 2-week devotional to help you grow in intimacy with the Holy Spirit. The vision of Mercy Culture Church is to take people from corporate encounters with God to daily personal encounters with God.

God began by calling a man, then a nation, and finally through Jesus, established a church. The Basic Training Challenge provides you with a starting point to learn about God’s mission here on earth through the Christian church. Similar to your basic training, this plan will challenge you to get spiritually fit in God’s Word.

There is more! Through this 16-day devotional, we will adventure together to experience more of His presence and power in our everyday lives. In a world full of distractions and competing agendas, let us focus on Him, hearing His voice, seeking His kingdom, and believing we will experience more of His presence and power.
