Good Morning Girls is an online community of women which exists to inspire, encourage and equip women all over the world to get into God’s Word on a daily basis through our daily Bible reading plans. Each day you can join our online community by participating in our Monday-Wednesday-Friday corresponding blog posts at GoodMorningGirls.org.

Whatever December looks like for you, wherever you are, whoever you are with or not with, our hope is that you will set aside time every day over the next four weeks to open God’s Word. We will have short devotionals each day to help you reflect on the day’s reading. We pray that you will see Jesus in a new light this Christmas.

As people who follow Jesus, we are considered to be His disciples. This simply means that - through the Spirit’s power – we are learning to be with Jesus in order to embody His teachings for His mission. Throughout Scripture, we see a variety of ways that Jesus and the people of God have learned to commune with God. Historically these have been referred to, by the Church, as the spiritual disciplines or spiritual rhythms. The purpose of these rhythms are not simply to do them, but to grow in our relationship with Jesus.

Each day as you engage the Scripture, we recommend following this pattern of devotional reading. 1. Read the Scripture aloud. 2. Seek out where King Jesus is at work in the Scripture. 3. Pray over the Scripture. 4. Discern how this Scripture impacts your life.

In a world where it feels like we are being constantly scammed, the faithfulness of an Almighty God seems ever more endearing. Let's learn more about the great faithfulness of God.
