Jesus called twelve ordinary men to follow Him closely so He could impart Himself to them. Jesus walked them through a process of development and maturing so that when He left, they could repeat this process with others. This practice of making disciples brings us together today. We’re Jesus’ disciples because twelve brave men spent time with Jesus 2,000 years ago and were sent to make disciples themselves.

What are some of the words that come to mind when you think of Jesus? Is "prophet" at the top of that list? Even if it isn't, the truth remains that Jesus is the greatest prophet! So what does that mean for us? Over the next few days, let God's word lead you into following the example set by Jesus.

Do you desire to encounter Jesus? When we “encounter” something, we are coming face-to-face with it. It’s our hope that over these next five days, we’ll notice our hearts burning within us like the Emmaus Road travelers (Luke 24:32) as we also walk with Jesus. Perhaps we’ll find ourselves having a deeper desire to draw closer to the Son as we encounter Him in unexpected ways.

The Advent season typically brings joy and Christmas carols, but maybe this year has been hard for you. In this 5-day plan, you’ll discover how those present at the nativity scene responded to God in the midst of their circumstances, and how their stories can give you hope.

Our world in the best of times seems uncertain and upside down. If it wasn’t for Jesus, the Son of God, we would have no hope. Every Christmas reminds us that the gift of Immanuel—God with us—is a gift that keeps on giving. We are never alone, from now until eternity. That is worth celebrating.

Christmas is a time of joy, hope and love. As we get ready to celebrate, we are going to take a journey to Bethlehem and experience the story of Christmas to prepare our hearts to receive the greatest gift of all - Jesus.

The ancient Scriptures, written by the prophets of old, declare that the Word of God was indeed made flesh and dwelt among us. Jesus, the Christ, was the fulfillment of both the Law and the Prophets. This year, may we share His peace and declare goodwill toward all mankind!

The grace of God is a never ending supply of His favor, love, and kindness to us. Even though we’ve done nothing to deserve it, it’s available to the entire world through Jesus. No matter how good or bad our choices may be, we’re all in need of God’s grace. In this Plan, we’ll learn more about how to live grace-filled lives.

We love basketball. I have been playing the game as long as I can remember. But basketball is not the most important thing to me. Life is. Just like basketball, life needs a good head coach. I’d like to introduce you to mine. He truly has a winning game plan for all of us.

The Bible tells us that the one true God who created the universe chose to “move into the neighborhood” and reveal himself to humanity. What does that mean for his followers? How can we show up for others like Jesus did for the world?
