Intentional prayer and fasting increases our intimacy with God. This devotional plan is designed to enrich your 21 days of this Closer season by teaching on prayer and fasting according to God’s Word, and how we can connect with God’s plan of bringing heaven to earth.

Taking time as an individual or group to fast and pray is a biblical principle. People who fasted in the Bible experienced amazing breakthroughs. With this reading plan, we want to guide and support you in your period of fasting.

Welcome to 21 Days of Prayer Challenge! Every day of this 21-day challenge will feature Bible readings with a devotion attempting to answer some of the biggest questions about prayer. In addition, each day will feature a prayer prompt and also a challenge to complete. It is our hope that your relationship with God will grow through this amazing gift of prayer.

The James River Church 21 Days of Fasting and Prayer Devotional plan is designed to encourage and strengthen you as you devote this time to walking closer with the Lord.
