Belong Together with Vision and Purpose to Grow

Who are the top-five people you’d like to spend time with while they’re alive? World leaders, celebrities, athletes, authors, the Pope? What if there were a simple way to guarantee time with them not just once, but whenever? 

What if you could pick anyone who’s ever lived on our planet? 

Jesus knew we would want time with Him. So, before He ascended back to Heaven, He left a simple code for inviting Him over. It’s like this. Get at least two or three people together and gather in His name. He says if you’ll do that, He’ll be there. 

Were you able to read that last paragraph without losing your cool like the Pope, the Queen, or some King was coming to visit your group? Think about it again. Meditate on it. Jesus, the human-skinned King of all Kings, whose words change death into life is going to show up next time you meet. 

No wonder spiritual growth happens best in trusted friendships. Because Jesus is there. The teacher. The change-maker. The reason we do any of this. When we gather to do what we can do: share, pray, learn Scripture, worship, and cheer each other on, that is the place where Jesus does what only He can do. 

What feels insurmountable in your life? What is too big for you to face alone? Where do you need a miracle? Bring it to your group. 

Jesus is there.
