Scriptures For Worship, Holiness, And The Nature Of Godنموونە

The Beauty of the Lord
When you look around and see things like war, terror attacks, mass killings, devastating natural disasters, and premature death, it can be hard to see the beauty of God. Some of us may start to wonder where God is and how we can live in a world of murder, devastation, and pain. We have to be careful in these cases that we don’t see only the natural and physical realm and neglect the spiritual, new covenant world—the world of salvation, joy, peace, and righteousness.
Some time ago, I was conducting a home-going service. One of the speakers said the person who had died had gone to a better place and left us in this ugly world. I had to stop and think about that. I agree that there is some ugliness here, but there is also some beauty here.
We can worship God and experience the beauty of holiness on this earth now. Because of the indwelling Holy Spirit, we are the sanctuary of God. We’re the temple of God. Encountering God in worship, bowing and lifting our hands, being partakers in the glory of God, hearing the voice of God, and coming in contact with God’s majesty and beauty—what a life to live!
