Your Date With Destiny By Jean Keysنموونە

Discover Who You Are
A paradigm is a mental map that consists of our beliefs, perceptions, feelings, attitudes and stereotypes. When we have a paradigm shift, this ingrained map changes and we receive new ideals, attitudes, hopes and dreams.
The way you think—your paradigm—determines the following:
• Your actions
• Your decisions
• Your degree of faith
If you think you are a failure, your “decision” will be to avoid pursuing anything worthwhile because you have already failed in your thoughts. If you think you do not have enough “faith” in yourself to accomplish something, you will not do it. Period.
This is what a paradigm shift is all about: the renewal of the mind; and having new ideals and attitudes. Let go of what lies behind—the old paradigm. Let go of the past—those hurts and fears and associations. Start to see yourself differently, and verbally start celebrating your strengths. This will enable you to know God’s will for your life.
Think of the current people in your life who inspire you. They may all be divine connections. Spend time with them, learn from them, treasure them and recognize the roles they play on your journey to your destiny. Ask them to tell you what they see as your strengths, and write it down. Start celebrating your strengths.
Ask yourself the following questions:
1. What do you see as your strengths? Ask a trusted friend or leader to tell you what they see as your strengths. Were any of these a surprise to you? Which ones were, and why?
2. Name the person you most admire. What is it about that person you admire? Now think about it, and if you need to, again ask your friend or leader what he or she thinks. Which of those attributes are actually the very same within you?
3. What are your values?
4. How do you communicate/connect with people?
5. Start celebrating your strengths. Name each of your strengths, and thank God that you are so wonderfully and uniquely made.
