WORD. A 21-day Reading Plan by Doxa Deo.نموونە

Day 5
John 5.
In chapter 5 we read the following statements:
- The Father loves the Son and shows him all He does. (v. 20)
- The Son is not able to do anything on His own, but only what He sees the Father doing. (v. 19)
- …for I seek not to please myself but Him who sent me (v. 30)
Clearly, Jesus was operating out of a close, intimate relationship with the Father. The words He spoke, the miracles He performed, and the places He went were not random, but came by the instruction of His Heavenly Father. What is clear is that Jesus was listening to the Father and observing the Father in order to know what He was supposed to do and what He was supposed to say.
This close, intimate relationship between Jesus and the Father also provides a model for our own relationship with the Father. We can speak to our Heavenly Father and receive instruction for our journeys, our conversations, our ministries, and our lives.
How would you describe your current relationship with the Heavenly Father?
What has God told you regarding your journey or life?
