Behold Your God
We usually think God’s glory and human glory are mutually exclusive. We usually think that for one to go up, the other must go down, like a playground seesaw.
God’s power and glory is definitely greater than ours. But His glory does not restrict, intimidate, or oppress us. He uses His power to protect us. He is mighty to save (Isaiah 63:1). Christ Jesus came to save sinners by destroying the devil (Hebrews 2:14; 1 John 3:8). His gospel is God’s power to save (Romans 1:16). God’s power lifts us up. So, we can glory in His glory – we can rejoice in His almighty power.
How are you tempted to rely on human power to achieve things in your daily life? Maybe it’s with your family, at work, with friends, in your studies. How can you trust God’s power in Christ instead?
