BOXED IN - 21 Day Journey To Easter Through The Book Of Lukeنموونە

Boxed in by Circumstances
Ever heard the phrase “control-freak”? Maybe you’ve used it to describe someone you know. In a vulnerable moment, you might even admit that you act like one sometimes. When we find ourselves in difficult circumstances, it can make us feel like we’ve lost control. Our first and most natural reaction is to figure out how we can get out of the circumstances as quickly as possible and seize back control. And until we seize back control, we tend to panic, or “freak-out”.
That’s what makes Mary’s faith so impressive. As an unwed teenager, she receives the news, “you’re pregnant”... by an angel. Say what?! Most of us would have freaked out. And even though Mary is troubled by the dramatic change in her circumstances, she responds differently. Instead of looking to seize control she surrenders to the Lord and remembers He’s ultimately in control.
When you feel boxed in by circumstances, remember God’s Sovereignty. Surrender to Him and let Him turn your panic into praise.
Question: What circumstances do you need to surrender over to the Sovereign Lord? What praise can you express to God today?

Our most stressful times are when we feel boxed in. You feel stuck in a relationship. You feel trapped in a career choice. You feel strapped due to financial stress or hemmed in due to your health. In this reading plan, we will study how the promises of God, the presence of God, and the resurrection of Jesus offer us help for today and hope for tomorrow.
