Refusing to Complain

Paul and Silas had been falsely accused, illegally beaten, and thrown in prison. They could have loudly complained and threatened legal action. Instead they sang songs worshipping God. Their Christian attitude, choosing joy over bitterness, allowed God to perform a great miracle. Far too often, complaints and murmurs short-circuit the power of God. Remember the Israelites wandering in the desert? They complained because they doubted God loved them. They thought He was against them. Never doubt God’s love, no matter what your circumstances.
