Reclaiming The Peace Of God نموونە

Perfect Peace 

In this life as we face countless disappointments, rejections and setbacks, we must continue to run to God and release all of our cares and worries to Him. 

He demonstrates His care for us by giving us perfect peace in the hardest of times. I remember a time when I had just given birth and the nurses were in panic because my child was not breathing. She was completely blue and unresponsive. In the midst of a terrifying situation I remember the peace of God that surpassed all understanding being with me. This was a child that I got pregnant with after experiencing three spontaneous miscarriages back to back. Once pregnant with my daughter I was told by my doctor she wasn’t going to survive, but as I prayed, the peace of God calmed my fearful heart through His word. 

There is a comfort in abiding in God’s promises. He promised peace to those who keep their mind upon Jesus. Jesus said “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27 NKJV). 

Father God, you alone are my peace and I need you every moment within the day. I ask you to help me to keep my mind upon your goodness, mercy and loving kindness in Jesus' name, Amen.
