The people move from an admission of guilt to committing to specific things they will and will not do moving forward. It’s easy to make a general statement of, “From now on I’m going to do things God’s way.” What’s more likely to be successful is to start with a few specifics and add more to it as those specifics become habits. None of us ever arrives at perfection, but we can all take steps in the right direction.
