Gospel And Sexual Abuseنموونە

The Fall
The Book of Judges chronicles the life of the Israelites after entering the promise land. However, something went wrong from the very onset. Instead of worshipping God for fulfilling his promise they immediately disobeyed his commands.
Because of the fall we as humans have a predisposition to trust ourselves over God. For example, when Eve decided to eat the forbidden fruit she made a decision to trust the voice of the serpent rather than God’s. When we trust ourselves over that of sovereign God we begin to do what is pleasing in our own eyes and this is most often evil in the sight of the Lord. This is the root of sexual sin.
