Lord, Your kindness and grace, which give me life and all spiritual blessings, are the same kindness and grace by which you test, purify, and exercise my faith. Help me receive all Your dealings with me with unmitigated gratitude, whether they be pleasant or unpleasant in the moment. I know that the difficulties You allow are for my good and Your glory as You teach me obedience, perfect me, and allow me to be identified with Christ.

Enlarge my desires and increase my expectancy. Let faith shape my hope so that I might understand Your eternal perspective in shaping me for eternity. Prepare me for eternal service and communion with You. Prepare me not only for the prosperity and adversity I will experience on earth, but even more so for Your eternal purposes in and through me. You are all I need. I love and trust You.

Communicator/Revealer

Lord, thank You that You communicate, and that You are relational in every way. Your creativity is evident in the amazing variety of ways in which You speak. Your creation, Your acts, Your people, Your Word (both living and written), and Your Spirit within us—all these provide continuous evidence of Your character, nature, will, and purpose, as well as Your particular intentions for each one of us.

Tune our hearts to the frequency of Your messages. Give us the sensitivity to recognize Your voice, the faith to act on what we hear, and the wisdom to be transformed by it. Conform us to Your image and will. Thank You that Your Word is powerful and effective, not only in creation but in re-creation.

Enable me to transmit the messages I hear from You to others, so that I might be a conduit of Your blessings. Use me to advance Your Kingdom as a messenger and ambassador of Your glorious magnificence.
