Joy: 37-Day Devotional

ڕۆژی18 لە 37

I’m an introvert by nature, but I don’t let that stop me from sharing the Gospel with others. Recently, I went on a month-long trip to Europe with random strangers who ended up becoming my friends. While on my trip, I realized that I was outnumbered, in the sense that very few believed in the same Creator as I do. But I didn’t let that stop me. I made it very evident to those around me that I was a Christian by the way I lived. Many of the people in my group found it funny how I would always make a friend everywhere I went and that I never met a stranger. I would talk to the people on the metro or meet other fellow Southerners while at the beach in Spain, and I even came across some Mormon girls on mission while in McDonalds in Italy. When I was talking with the girls on mission, they assumed I was on mission too because of the way I was dressed. I told them that I was a Southern Baptist and liked being dressed modestly. Because I am so proud of my faith, I am not ashamed to share with others and stand up for what I believe: that I am a sinner saved by grace through the work of Jesus Christ on the cross and His resurrection from death.

Over the years I have learned that even though I’m an introvert, and sometimes a hermit, I can still allow the Lord to work through me and allow my light shine around me. You don’t have to be some smooth talking, super outgoing, or extroverted woman to allow your light to shine. Be bold, share your faith and don’t let anyone hide your light. I want to live in a way that shows others I am not ashamed of the Gospel. Do you?

Dear Lord, I pray that you would allow me to be bold in sharing my faith with others, that I would never be ashamed of sharing the Gospel, and that my light would shine brightly for You to a very dark world. Amen.
