7 Days Seeking the Gift of Jesusنموونە

Ever Present Love
The most painful trials are the ones where it feels like God has turned away and forsaken us. We’ve all felt the pain that leaves us feeling empty. The dark night of the soul—when it seems like God has abandoned us, just when we need Him the most. Suddenly, the nearness of His touch and sweetness of His voice are absent.
God turned away from Jesus so He never has to turn away from you. Confusion, fear, doubt, and shame—Jesus took the ugliness of it all upon Himself. Annihilated it on the cross. Opened the way for you to run straight back into the arms of love and find His presence again. You never have to frantically search for Him. Settle your soul. Quiet your mind. Be still. He is there, and you are not forsaken.
Thanks to Jesus’ death in your place, you are never alone; instead, you are always surrounded by His love.
Jesus, though it feels as if I’ve been forsaken in this wilderness, I know you’re here. You said you’d never leave me or forsake me. You’ll use this season for my good—to soften my heart and remind me how much I need you. Forgive me for allowing these trials to steal my affection. I turn to your ever present love. You are here.
