Buckling The Belt Of Truthنموونە

THEME: Buckle up the belt of truth by believing that JESUS IS ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN YOUR LIFE.
It seems incredible to me that if I could miss the idea that God is actively involved in my life. Actually, it is more likely that the world and so many other influencers around me push that thought out of my mind. If you believe the Scriptures you read in Days 1-6 of this reading plan, then the idea that God is active and cares about what is happening in your life should be a no-brainer.
In reading John 15:1-6, buckle on the belt of truth with these ideas: You are joined as one with Christ. He has chosen you and shown ultimate love to you by dying for you. Note that He now calls you His friend. He's not about to forget you!
In Eph 2:10, note that God has special things planned out for you to do. And in Philippians 1:6 ponder the promise that God is going to carry on His work in your spiritual life to completion. Note another precious promise in Heb 13:5-6.
Another way to buckle on the idea that God is active in your life is to remember what we read about God's Spirit in all of Romans 8. In particular, I suggest that you focus on Romans 8:26-39. God's Spirit is not about to forget you! He's passionately praying for you! And if it is true that we are the objects of God's unstoppable love, then we are certainly on God's mind. Don't YOU tend to think about the people you love?! God does the same.
While all of the above should comfort and assure us, the same thoughts should inspire holy fear: Our most secret thoughts and desires are NOT secret from God.
Dig into these Old Testament passages to find wonderful treasures relating to God's intimate knowledge and involvement with us:
Psalm 139
Isaiah 30:19-31
Psalm 18
Psalm 73
I recommend following up this plan with the YouVersion Reading Plan entitled, “Thirty-One Truths: Who I Am in Christ.”

Belts work a lot better if they are buckled, don’t they! It is similar with the belt of truth. Vaguely believing that the Bible is true means that you at least have the belt of truth in your belt loops. But is it buckled? The theme of this seven-day study is that one buckles the belt of truth by fully believing the amazing things God says about YOU.
