Reading: Luke, chapter 14

Devotional: The equation is simple: if you don’t love Jesus more than yourself, your family or your loved ones, you cannot be His disciple. This is what the term “hate” actually refers to in this text - to love them less than loving Jesus, or be more attached to Jesus than to others. The closer you want to be to Him, the more humble you need to get.
