The Power of God's Loveنموونە

LOVE STRENGTHENS US TO DO GOD’S WILL – Luke 6:30-38; Luke 23:34

“But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.  Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful (Luke 6:35-36 KJV).”

The people of the world view our acts of love as a weakness. They cannot comprehend how we love consistently without receiving love in return. Love’s power gives us the strength to endure. It provides us with the ability to forgive when others would show hate and seek retribution. Our most excellent example is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who, in His dying moment, allowed the power of love to speak on behalf of those who persecuted Him. “Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do...(Luke 23:34 KJV).”

QUESTION: Do I allow the power of God’s love to govern my life in situations when I am inclined to fulfill my fleshly impulses?
