Day 1: Leading While the World is Changing Around You

Organizations and leaders today continually face the challenge of leading and managing through change at an increasingly accelerated rate. Leading and managing through change without becoming discouraged or burned out is one of the most significant determinants of success and longevity for leaders and their teams.  

And then there are those amazing leaders that seem to naturally anticipate the inevitable shifts that come when no one else sees anything coming on the horizon. These types of leaders don't just manage through change, they seem to have a sense around what is coming and can create momentum for themselves and their teams by mastering the timing of the seasons they are in. They seem to be able to control the uncontrollable, staying calm in the middle of chaotic seasons and keeping their eyes firmly set on the faithfulness of God. They are solid rocks for their teams in difficult and sometimes fear-inducing circumstances, reminding others of the strength and hope found in the love and power of Jesus.

Over the next 7 days, we will use practical tips and biblical truths to discuss common characteristics and behaviors of leaders who anticipate and accelerate through seasons of significant change well.

God, I know that seasons of life are always changing, sometimes more than I feel ready for. I know that whether I feel in control of changing circumstances, or whether I don’t feel in control, You are always there to provide gracious wisdom to me when I ask for it. In times of uncertainty, help me to keep my eyes and ears turned toward You above all others so I can lead your people well.
