Refined Under Pressureنموونە

Day 12: Battle for the High Ground
Pray
Lord God, quiet my soul and open my mind and heart to receive Your Word. Amen.
Read
1 Kings 18:1-46
Reflect
Elijah conducts a spiritual frontal assault on Mount Carmel and asks the people to choose whom they will follow. What kind of challenge does Elijah give the prophets of the false god? How does Elijah show the people his confidence in the power of the living God? How does the Lord confirm that he is the one, true God in Israel? How am I living my life so others see that God is my Commander?
Respond
Lord, you command the wind, rain, and fire; nothing is outside your control. Let me not be discouraged by what I see around me, but keep my eyes fixed on you at all times. Amen.
