We all have our circles. These are the people we open up our lives to and share friendships with. They include people such as our family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and classmates. Most of the time we are very selective about choosing who we allow in our circle.
In this passage, Jesus is teaching about the kingdom of God. He is explaining that the kingdom is open to anyone, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, status, or income level. It is not exclusive.
Who is in your circle? Does it include everyone (poor, crippled, lame, blind)? Are there certain people you come across in your day that you need to invite into your life? If so, who are they? What can you do to befriend them?
