This is a powerful passage. For me, I want God to trust me with a lot! I mean a lot! But if he cannot trust me with the little things, he will not trust me with the big things.
For example, there was a family photo session, and the mother wasn’t pleased with the color of one of her children’s shirts. He was a twin and they both wore brand new shirts, but she said she could still tell a difference between them. We went back and forth in 26 different emails about the shirts. Let’s be honest, there was nothing wrong with them. But I wanted to honor God through this process, so I made sure that the mother was pleased.
The challenge I have for myself is to work even harder when no one is looking, because that’s when we can honor Him the most.
Today when you are working, taking care of your kids, running errands, etc., don’t take the shortcut. Work hard to honor Him.
