Heart for the Houseنموونە

A House That Loves God and Loves People
Rafael Bitencourt
An expert in the law, when he wanted to put Jesus to the test, asked him which was the most important commandment. In the Jewish culture of that time, there were more than six hundred commandments to follow. But the most important point of Jesus' response was not to convince those who wanted to test him, but to bring eternal clarity about our primary calling as his followers. From the focus on the hundreds of commandments that existed, Jesus said that the most important thing was to love God and to love people.
When we think about everything we do as a church, week after week, the amount of hours invested in caring for the people, the dedicated excellence in all of the teams and the areas, we see that all of this is summarized in the two most important commandments that Jesus has left us: love God and love people.
Our love is then expressed through our excellence, our sacrifice, our vision, our generosity, our faith and our warmth. If everything we do is not about "loving God and loving people," we have lost the focus that Jesus called us to have.
When you look at your life, can you see it through the purpose of 'loving God and loving people'?
