Walk Through the Bible 365 - Aprilنموونە

Self-Control
Samson's weakness was the lack of self-control. He did not control the desires of his flesh and loved a philistine woman, Delilah even though the Bible clearly warned the Israelites from marrying women from other faiths. He compromised and this ultimately led to his losing his calling and strength and finally his death. We need to be careful to live a life of discipline and self-control - compromise in this area of physical desire leads to a loss of faith, of calling and finally to destruction. Let us be warned.
Prayer: Lord, let us grow in self-control and not give in to sin in this area. Help us Lord not to give in to the desires of the flesh. We need to keep our calling and live separated lives. We want to live for you Lord - help us. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
