A Fleece Of Faith

Trying to figure out if the Lord is talking to you can be complex sometimes. But a friend of mine once broke it down in a very simple way.

God speaks to those who are listening. 

God regularly speaks to those who pray regularly to the Lord. God speaks to those who immerse themselves in the Bible. God will speak through those faith elders in your life. God speaks through His spirit, which we often feel most closely in worship. 

Honestly, it got really simple. 

Am I praying, am I reading, am I worshipping and am I listening to the wisdom of others who love Jesus? If all those things stand in alignment, maybe God is speaking.

We may not be able to have a fleecy conversation with God and ask directly for multiple confirmations like Gideon did. We do wish for a confirmation of God’s plans when they seem big bold and audacious.

So, my encouragement is simply to ask that question in italics above. God might be giving you the confirmation you need through a whole bunch of different ways.
